This is one I did before I started this site. No dairy for a month. Also, no dairy substitutes. The point was not to figure out to live like I am lactose intolerant. It was to stay away from dairy products.
The big lesson: dairy is heavy and doesn’t digest quickly.
The big effect: lost about 7 pounds during the month. I am sure this is because I normally eat a lot of dairy so just cutting it meant I was eating about 2,000 fewer calories each week.
Difficulty: Easy. Overall, this was a pretty easy one. So what, right? No dairy. It is pretty straightforward. The most difficult thing about it was paying more attention to what was in the food I ordered at a restaurant — such as hamburgers. “No cheese, please.”
It might seem like nothing to a lot of people but staying away from Dairy is tough for me. I friggin’ love it.
Give this man a fish an he’ll eat for a day but give him a giant glass of milk and a block of cheese and he’s in heaven.
